NC Training Grants now available

Training budgets are slimmer than ever. One source for training grant money is the North Carolina Incumbent Workforce Development Program, which provides grants of up to $25,000 per year for employers. The next application deadline for local employers ranges from April 14-16, depending upon the county.

New Posting Requirement! GINA Notice Available

Updated "Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law" poster includes information about the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 (GINA), effective November 21, 2009. GINA requires that companies post a notice to inform employees of their rights.

New Poster Requirement!

After June 21, 2010, government contractors will begin to see an employee notice clause in contracts worth $100,000 or more telling them that they must post the new Employee Rights Notice. All subcontractors who have contracts that include the employee notice clause and are worth more than $10,000 must post the Employee Rights Notice at various places in their work facilities.Click here for more information.
