Do your employees need training, but you have limited funds?  North Carolina has grant money available for employers to improve their employees’ skills.  One option is the NC Incumbent Workforce Development Program, which provides grants of up to $25,000 per year.

The next application deadline for local employers is in April 2013, with the specific date varying by county. 

Interested companies must first contact their Local Workforce Development Board (WDB) to receive the Board’s support for application (see chart below).  Funding awards are anticipated to be announced by the state in November.
